Are chicken bones bad or good for dogs?
Answer: It has been seen that people do not what kind of bones should be given.Sometimes, they tend to give cooked bones and sometimes the raw ones.However ,which one should be fed to our doggies?Cooked bones or the ones that are raw?My cousin feeds his dog raw bones so that his dog will be very brave.I don't know why he thinks so. Any-ways, cooked chicken bones can become hard and brittle. However, raw chicken bones, especially the wings, neck and back, are more pliable and rubbery. So, if your dogs are given cooked bones they might choke it or puncture his stomach or intestines. So, a new method of feeding dogs with fresh and raw food is becoming more popular. Hence, cooked bones can be dangerous.
I feed my dog people’s food. Is it okay?
Answer: It is not necessary to feed dogs solely dog food but they should receive the nutrients needed in their diet. Cooked food for humans that includes rice and other side dishes is high in salt and fat, which can be unhealthy to your pets. Because of this reason, the pets learn to use their sense of taste instead of sense of smell for eating, which is what they should use. If you want to cook homemade food for dogs, make sure they have low salt and but good amount of protein, carbohydrates, with complete vitamins and proteins.
Chocolates for dogs
We might love eating chocolates but it isn’t the same for dogs. Chocolates can be very harmful to dogs. It contains the chemical theobromine, which can stimulate your pet’s heart and central nervous system. Ingestion of large amounts of chocolate can even lead to coma.
Salty foods
Foods like canned foods, processed meat, and sausages contains tons of salt. Too much salt can cause kidney failure and can also lead to electrolyte imbalance. That is why it is suggested to feed your dogs with low salt diet which is already mentioned above.
Mushrooms
We humans often love mushrooms and vegetarians eat them as a substitute of meat. However, can we feed our dogs mushroom? Be careful not to litter mushrooms around the kitchen. Make sure your dogs don’t pick one up. Mushrooms have toxins that can damage kidney and liver, cause shock, coma and more seriously can even lead to death.
Onions
Onions also contain toxic ingredient, known as thiosulphate. This can cause oxidative damage to the red blood cells of your dog. Similarly, if taken on large doses and quantities on a regular basis can cause anemia and lead to death. Garlic is also toxic to dogs and also has the similar effect.
Avocado
Avocado may have a lot of benefits for humans but it is not the same for dogs. The fruit, seed and tree contains a substance called persin. This substance can cause diarrhoea and vomiting.

We humans like to drink to chill. But is the same for dogs? Like they show in the movies, dogs getting drunk after drinking, is fun to see. But what about its side effect to dogs? Alcoholic beverages contain ethanol which is extremely toxic to dogs. Like humans, it can also lead to respiratory and CNS depression, coma and death in dogs. Take your dogs to the vet immediately if it ingests alcohol.

The beta carotene in carrots can be a good food for dog. It should be served chilled and in moderate amount as it has a very high sugar content.
Sweet potatoes
If you don’t know, sweet potatoes can be good for your dogs. They contain fibers, vitamin C and beta carotene. It’s best if you boil it and feed them, instead of frying them and adding grease. Moreover, it’s very healthy and inexpensive as well.
Pumpkin
Well, I hate pumpkins, what about you? It is rich in fiber, vitamin A and beta carotene. Pumpkin cleans our digestive tract and keeps our bowel healthy. It is not just good for humans but or dogs as well. Even if you don’t like it, even if your dogs don’t like it, it is better to feed pumpkins to both of you.
Fish
It’s good to feed your dogs fish, as long as, it’s not seasoned and is cooked .You need to cook the fish to kill the parasites. Salmons can be very good as they contain mega-3 fatty acids, which benefits the dog’s heart,skin, and immune system.
Apples
Yes!Apples can be fed to dogs as they conatin high amount of vitamin A and C, fibers, calcium and potassium. However, we should be careful, not to feed them with apple seeds, just like in humans case.This is because, the seeds contain cyanide which is poisonous.It might not have a bad effect when taken in small quantities accidentally but we still need to be careful.

Yogurt
Yogurt contains calcium and protein. It also increases probiotics in your dog’s stomach that can help it with digestion and protect from harmful bacteria. However, we should be careful while choosing yoghurts as some might have high fat content and artificial sweeteners.
